Behind a big night from quarterback Johnny Bizzell, Carl Albert took down Ada 28-7 on the road. Bizzell was 21-32 passing, for 284 yards and four touchdowns to lead his Titans to the victory.

Coach Gary Rose spoke highly of his team’s play, specifically that of the second quarter.

“All wins are good wins. We played a great second quarter offensively and defensively. We made a couple of big stops in the first quarter, but mistakes hurt the offense early,” Rose said. “Our second quarter was almost flawless with four straight possessions drive to TD and all 4 were passes. One to Jason Taylor and Brayden Pursell each and two to Diego Richards.”

The first score of the game came from a Bizzell pass to Brayden Pursell from two yards out. Dadrian Taylor began this drive with a 23 yard run, then Pursell ran for 15 then Bizzell kept it himself for another fifteen yards and then found Purselll for the score.

It did not take long for the Titans’ offense to be back on the attack. The Carl Albert defense forced a three-and-out, getting the ball back to the offense. Bizzell then proceeded to run for 32 yards and then found Jason Taylor in the end zone for a 29 yard touchdown pass to make it 14-0. Taylor had two catches for 42 total yards.

Yet again, the defense forced another turnover on downs, which led to another Bizzell passing touchdown. This time he connected with Richards from 22 yards out for the score. Richards had six catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns in this game.

Bizzell found Jason Taylor for one more touchdown to end the half with the score at 28-0.

Rose spoke of his standouts on the defensive end. “Trajan Lands, RT Sherman and Louis Cottone stood out on the defensive end,” Rose said. “Our back-ups allowed one touchdown late in the game, but other than that defense was excellent.”

Sherman led the Titans with 12 tackles to go along with a forced fumble, in which he recovered himself. Cottone and Lands both added nine tackles a-piece.
The Titans offense combined for 794 yards of total yards in the game. Bizzell led the team with 322, followed by Dadrian Taylor with 142.
