Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was found in a creek bed this morning.

A person walking near Adair Boulevard and Harr Drive discovered the body about 11 a.m., said Assistant Police Chief Sid Porter.

Midwest City police and the state medical examiner’s office investigated the scene for more than hour. About 1:40 p.m., they pulled the body from the wooded area and transported it to the medical examiner’s office for identification.

The location where the body was found is about 200 feet away from the roadway.

A spokesperson with the state medical examiner’s office said they are trying to use finger prints to identify the man. If authorities cannot find a match, they will use dental records to identify the body.
