Minco High School welcomed a new principal to the district this week.

The school district hired Clint Shirley to the position in June and he began working at the school this week. He is filling the position, which was left vacant by John Mages who went to work for another school in Kansas earlier this year.

“We interviewed several people for the job,” Minco Superintendent Kevin Sims said. “He his a great fit for the position and will do a great job.”

Before coming to Minco, Shirley worked as the principal of Verden High School for seven years.
