SHAWNEE - Mustang coach Bryan Howard had one goal in mind when he took over the program in January.


“I’m coming here to win a state championship,” he said. “That’s the only way I look at things.”


That goal was accomplished on Saturday. After a single to deep center off the bat of Karis Clark, Zion Archer crossed the plate to give Mustang a 4-3 extra inning win over Broken Arrow and the 2014 Class 6A state title.
