A motorcycle accident claimed a Minco man last week just outside of Tuttle.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Frankie Davis, 60, was riding a 2006 Kawasaki on State Highway 37 on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 6. At approximately 6:45 a.m., Davis attempted to negotiate a curve on the highway just north of County Road 2890, west of Tuttle, and started to depart the roadway, the report said.

The motorcycle struck a ditch and caused Davis to be thrown 20 feet from the vehicle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Davis was traveling at an unsafe speed considering the wet conditions of the roadway.

Tuttle police, fire and EMS responded to the accident. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the medical examiner’s office by Alpha and Omega Mortuary.
