Mustang will travel for the regional tournament after placing third in their district.

The Lady Broncos will go to Edmond Memorial and Lawton Eisenhower and Norman North will join them.

Mustang will begin with Norman North at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lady Broncos will aim at jumping on top in the double elimination event. With a win Mustang will play at 6 p.m., a loss will put the Lady Broncos playing at 4 p.m.

“Our big deal is we want to go out and have a really good defensive set,” Mustang coach Tim Wade said.

Edmond Memorial and Mustang has met in the preseason for a scrimmage.

“They’re going to be a good game but if the girls do what they are capable of doing I feel like it’s a very winnable regional,” Wade said.

Mustang will aim at holding up the regional title at the end of the tournament on Wednesday and grabbing their ticket to the state tournament.
