For the second time, the groundbreaking date for the new St. Anthony Healthplex has been changed to a later date.
Interim City Manager Justin Battles made the announcement at last week’s City Council meeting.
"Once again, St. Anthony has contacted me to request us to change the groundbreaking date to September 10 at 9:15 a.m.," Battles said.
The original groundbreaking date was set for Aug. 6, but was pushed back to Aug. 13.
St. Anthony announced last December their intent to build a $30 million, 90,000 square-foot medical campus in Mustang at the southwest corner of Sara Road and E. State Highway 152.
The complex will include a full service emergency room, a diagnostic imaging center, procedure suites, and breast center. The second floor will be occupied by a St. Anthony Physicians Group and specialist physicians.
The healthplex is expected to employ at least 75 people.
City Officials said the new healthplex will help the City attract more businesses and developers.
