An inmate escaped the Union City Corrections Center and now authorities are asking the public to contact them if they know of his whereabouts.

Timothy Butler, 30, was last seen at the facility, located near the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 81 and SW. 59th Street, on the morning of Wednesday, June 19. Jailers announced is disappearance on Friday. According to the Department of Corrections, Butler is serving time for possession of methamphetamine, second-degree burglary and larceny.

He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches, weighs 196 pounds and has blue eyes and reddish brown hair. He also has eight tattoos on his back, chest, calf, arms and legs.

Authorities say that he may be in possession of a knife and to alert them if he is seen.

What a weirdo!!!!! he must have been close for release!!!!!! Now tacking on what is it 7-10 for escape!!!!! Smart move, NOT!!!
