After about six months of construction, the new Buggy Creek bridge is now open in Minco.

Construction crews just finished the bridged last week on State Highway 37. It replaces the old bridge that crossed the creek and the project also widened the roadway around the bridge. In all, about half a mile of work was done.

"The project as far as the bridge goes is pretty much complete," said Oklahoma Department of Transportation Spokesman Cole Hackett. "For the next month or so, there will be some work done to the approaches up to the bridge such as stripping and other roadwork."

Hackett said work on the project started last September and cost around $2.5 million.
